Finite-difference time-domain modeling of dispersive nonlinear Fabry-Perot cavities


This paper proves that finite-difference time-domain (FD-TD) algorithms can be applied for the analysis of time-domain response of nonlinear Fabry-Perot cavities, and time-domain pulse selectivity obtained. The energy absorbed from various pulse shapes by a given nonlinear cavity is calculated, since a pulse-selective cavity will absorb significantly more energy from the selected pulse shapes than from random pulses with similar spectra.
